We welcome Bay Area community members to join the Oakland Fukuoka Sister City Association in creating a public mosaic mural in honor of 60 years of friendship between Oakland, CA and Fukuoka, Japan. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of Oakland history in the making!
The following opportunities are FREE to the community!
Schedule
June 5th from 2-5 pm: We will host a FREE mosaic mural class where participants can learn how to make their own mosaic mural they can take home
June 12th from 2-5 pm: Use the skills you have learned to help us make the Mosaic Mural on "Compassion, Peace, and Community" in honor of 60 years of friendship between Oakland, CA and Fukuoka, Japan!
June 19th from 2-5 pm: Back-up mural creation day if we need more time.
*Minimum required participation dates are June 5th and June 12th. June 19th may be canceled or have reduced hours to be decided on June 12th together.

*We will prioritize Oakland community members. We welcome you from the greater Bay Area as space allows.
