Time: August 6, 2025 at 6:00 pm
Place: Memorial Park, Cupertino
The Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Cities organization and City of Cupertino will host a Bell Ringing for World Peace ceremony to commemorate 80 years of peace since the bombing of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Toyokawa.
This annual ceremony takes place in Cupertino and around the nation. The date and time for the Cupertino event is chosen to match the actual time the unfortunate event occurred in Toyokawa in 1945, which usually falls on August 5th or 6th.
Bell Ringing for World Peace has become a community event, and continues annually. The event aims to bring awareness to the 80 years of peace between the US and Japan.
