Join us for the 51st Annual Bunka-Sai Japanese Cultural Festival on April 18–19, 2026!
Presented by the Torrance Sister City Association (TSCA), Bunka-Sai is a free, two-day Japanese cultural festival and TSCA's major fundraiser supporting the annual student cultural exchange program. Free admission and free parking. All are welcome!

The weekend features authentic performances and demonstrations including traditional dance, vocal and instrumental music, taiko, tea ceremony, calligraphy, flower arranging, bonsai, ikebana, martial arts, origami, kimono dressing, Kamishibai (story reading), and more. Enjoy free hands-on demos of origami and calligraphy, plus lectures by local experts.

Browse the TSCA Gift Booth for great deals on Japanese items, along with more than 20 Asian-themed craft and home-goods vendors. Be sure to stop by the food booths for BBQ plate lunches, vegetable yakisoba, chicken curry and rice, dangos (donuts), and other festival favorites.

Proceeds help fund TSCA’s student cultural exchange, sending eight high school students and a chaperone to Kashiwa each July and hosting visiting students in August.
