August 7-12, 2019: Approximately 25 students will visit Bakersfield as part of the 29th annual Wakayama Youth Summer Cultural Study Program. Students and their chaperones will all stay with local families.

The BYSO will join the Wakayama Children's Choir & the Wakayama Municipal High School Brass Band for a concert on Wednesday, April 17 at 6 pm. Admission is free. While in Wakayama, the students will stay with local families, visit and perform at schools, and tour local places of interest.
