2022 California Youth Leadership Summit and California Young Artists Expo

The 2022 California Youth Leadership Summit and Young Artists Expo is a free online event for youth by youth. The summit will be streamed live on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. (PST) and the art from the expo will be on display from November 6, 2022.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to connect with youth throughout the state of California and internationally. The theme of the California Youth Leadership Summit and Young Artists Expo is Peace, Kindness and Cooperation. The panel topics were decided by youth and include:
• Climate Change & Sustainability
• Racial & Gender Equity
• World Peace & Cooperation
• Adapting to a New Normal

Participants in the California Young Artists Expo will share art related to:
• Climate Change & Sustainability
• Racial & Gender Equity
• World Peace & Cooperation
• Adapting to a New Normal
• My Identity & Self Expression
• Open Category: All Art Forms

Youth/Students are invited to take part as an interactive attendee or if they are passionate, knowledgeable and outspoken, they may wish to apply to become panelists in the online 2022 California Youth Leadership Summit. Aspiring artists are welcome to submit their art for the California Young Artists Expo. Panelists and artists will include high school and college students and young professionals from the State of California and around the world.

The California Youth Leadership Summit and Young Artists Expo is hosted by the Sister Cities International Southern California Chapter and is organized by the Sister Cities International Southern and Northern California Chapters. Sister Cities International was founded in 1956 by President Dwight Eisenhower for the purpose of bringing about peace throughout the world through citizen diplomacy. Today, this network unites tens of thousands of citizen diplomats and volunteers in 500 member communities with over 1,800 sister city partnerships in 138 countries on six continents. California has more sister city organizations than any other state in the U.S.: 82 California cities have 356 partnerships with cities overseas in over 50 countries.
